Perpetual Motion is a running consulting business started by Kim Booth in 2003. In partnership with A&L get active, many folks have learned to incorporate a running program that suits them and their lifestyle. Programs are offered for all levels of fitness - from the non-active to those working towards a personal best at an elite level.
Kim is in her 5th decade of running - over the course of her lifetime, running and other endurance activities like cycling and nordic skiing have been the mainstays of her fitness regime. She started out as an aspiring track athlete specializing in the 800m (PR 2:10) and 1500m (PR 4:57). After 'retiring' from track, Kim enjoyed recreational running from then on participating in countless road races, a few marathons, a couple dozen or so triathlons and road bike tours. If you desire to have a healthy lifestyle that focuses on good health, spending time outdoors and living life to the fullest in good health, then maybe you should try a Perpetual Motion program. There are no gimmicks or fancy potions to get you on the road to good health. You can however learn some basics at whatever fitness level you may be at to benefit your health.
If you want to learn how to run in a simple and effective way, avoid injury and share a few laughs along the way with great people then what are you waiting for? It's time to get running!
Changes for 2012!
As the saying goes, "the only thing constant in life is change" so things will change for Perpetual Motion for the spring of 2012. I will be hosting a couple of x-c ski clinics this winter and will post dates soon. My partnership with A&L get active continues to evolve and next spring, I will be starting a weekly group run from the store once a week. The day of the week we are currently considering is Thursdays at 6:00 p.m. but that could change. This is a FREE run just to get folks who like to run and run with a group once a week the opportunity to do so. Stay tuned for details on that towards spring (which is a long way off yet!). Due to some other race goals for 2012, I will not be offering any of my running programs in the spring session.
